Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in the fields of theater, film and TV. Aunjanue. Ellis began acting in the theatre. Later, she appeared in television series in independent as well as mainstream films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she won critical acclaim as well as a variety of nominations and awards including the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. She made her professional debut with the character Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Alongside the Broadway production Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film work is highlighted by her performances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. The role she played as a regular in the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
