Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American singer and actress is a former model. She was the main female vocalist in Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. She was one of several female artists who benefited from Prince's collaboration during the 1980s. Patricia Kotero, born 1959 in Santa Monica California began her career as an actress and model. In the late 70s she appeared on CHiPS. The female lead of Prince's Purple Rain was her first performance from the year 1984. Prince changed the girl's name at this point. The actress replaced Vanity by the female group Vanity 6 for her role in the film with Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity. Sex Shooter on the soundtrack was a minor popularity for her group, however as Prince's duet partner in Take Me with You she had more success.
