As a young girl, she grew up around TV show hosts such as her sister, Karla Martinez (Host of Univision's Despierta America! As a young child her family was filled with TV personalities like her sister, Karla (Host for Univision's Desperta America! Andrew Martinez is the vice president for Safety Security and business Resiliency of Southern California Edison, one of America's largest electric utilities. He is responsible for the organization's activities and programs that focus on safety of workers, corporate security and business resiliency that are the top priorities for SCE. Martinez provides safety managers throughout all areas of the company mentoring, high-quality programs, and assistance in achieving the goals for safety of their specific work groups. Martinez's previous role was as Director of Safety Training and Compliance, Transmission & Distribution. He previously served as director of Safety and Compliance for Power Supply and Operational Services. During Martinez's 30-year tenure at SCE he served in different leadership positions, among them those at The San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station SONGS.
